An overlook at some of my iterations so far. I have done a few and now trying to narrow it down to my final 3 that portray my narrative the best. The ones in white are some of what i believe to be my strongest one to date and also out of them trying to find one i want to get printed keeping in mind some of mine wont work because they are too thing or aren't solid enough so will have to take that into account.

DSDN 104 - First Few Models
These are some screenshots from my initial models and iterations once i brought my Solidworks model into 3Ds Max.
These are some i branched off my original model at the beginning. Using the twist and stretch modifiers the front ones are beginning to look more fluid and in motion and very similar to my rope precedent i had earlier.
These are a different set of iterations branched off from a section of another model on the far left. I am starting to like the one on the far right as it implies the movement is out of control and is just happening but at the same time the repetition from the second in from the left i think works nicely as it could be moving up or down.
Another iteration. I really like this one as the fluid type motion and curves upward it twists around itself at the bottom to keep it contained which i think gives the fluid movement and notion with the curved tops coming down into a twist. I could maybe look at repetition like in my precedents to further this idea.
These two are more iterations off my original model and thought they were quite different. The one on the left is slightly going away from my narrative however the right model reminds me of a kind of seaweed type object that is being moved by the current or ocean flow and is shaped by the fluid motion around it which fits in well with my narrative.

DSDN 104 - Solidworks Model
This is the model i got from Solidworks after taking a section from the wave pattern picture shown before. I wanted to get the fluid curves of a section and also incorporate a curl which i managed to on the end.
Below just another view of my model from behind looking forward.
DSDN 104 - Sketches
These are some sketchs done looking at fluid motion and also at a type of pattern that can be repeated to intice a movement of somesort.
Most of the ones below based on a rope or twist object which gives the impression something is moving upward along it .
Looking at a fern type leaf and how repeatition gets smaller and suggests something is moving along it.
DSDN 104 - Material Ideas
These are some potential material/ textures for my rendered model/s.
This is a glass type one. Looking at a movement in something static and even further taking a look at water the transparent type effect could be quick effective following on from this.
Again with this a water type material this time which could give a fluid motion on my model if i choose to pursue this option.
I like this one the best due to it transparent type look. This could also tie in with my model as i don't plan to colour it because i want it in it's most natural form kind of like this fluid effect i'm looking at here.
This one i like too as it is more subtle than the other obvious water type textures i had and also has a softer tone to the others too.
DSDN 104 - Futher Precedents
I found further precedents of water and another fluid movement showing somewhat of a ripple effect. I found that a impact of water created a really nice sense of movement as well as a cool fluid motion to it also.
This movement really is emphasised by the fluid texture that it has. The fluid motion is something im looking at as this branches on from static image suggesting movement again.
Something a bit different but i like the curves and the different type of fluidity and motion this shows. rather than a liquid itself it portrays more of a natural material such as hills or even sand up close and how by the way its layered and curved creates nice fluid natural sense of movement.
This i got to really look at the fluid lines and curves of something fluid itself like water to see what lengths i could potentially go to with angles and lines etc on my model.
Again with the top picture the fluid movement in this image really captures that movement that can be seen and felt in something that is still with the nice curve supported by such a awesome texture of water.
DSDN 104 - Precedents
For my initial precedents i wanted to look at movement and the patterns that can be made by showing something that implies it is moving. I especially looked at the static objects and how something that is stationary and still can at the same time imply a sense of movement.
For this photo i liked the pattern created by the different string like material and at the same time how it implies it has a sense of movement by the way the composition has been put together.
Something as simply as a plant and the way the leafs have been repeated give a sense of movement again. Although these wouldn't be moving the way the photo has been taken also brings out what i am looking at.
The main point of focus here was the centre of the button. Although it isn't the strongest of my precedents so far i like the movement created in the corners and the especially the layering effect that really makes this interesting. It gives the sense of an endless movement if you follow the path it takes.
This is probably my favourite image so far. This rope really shows the movement from something static as if something if binding itself around the rope and gives the impression that something is twisting up this object even though it is only a rope.
This one i found because it isn't just a object but rather a pattern in a way. This again shows a kind of movement with all the different curves and waves in the picture. The repetition also makes this picture very effective too and could be a aspect i look at when it comes to making my model.
